I've stopped posting advice on seeking approval from others when it comes to system builds. For audio production that means sample files, bounces and other important data. Intel is back to being pricey and heavier WATT consumption. It’s here that the computer holds relevant data and makes it available to access quickly. If I had to do a budget build I would go with one of those AMD 6 core, 65 Watt CPUs. I'd hate to do a system build now since hardware prices need to drop. They ignore the entire WATTs of a system. Wisdom fails when the most expensive part of a DAW build is the video card. The quality of budget units is so much better these days along with the competition. Sometimes budget units don't offer the lowest latency. I look at all of the audio interfaces I bought in my lifetime if I bought an RME Babyface it would still be in use. Plus driver support has a lot to do with it. In reality it boils down to how many inputs and outputs you need. My main system has an IK Aze IO but I haven pushed it yet. It runs at 256 samples but I have not pushed it yet, I'm still using a M-Audio 2496 in one system until it dies or the system dies. | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | Thanks in advance for any help you can give! I'm using a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 and Komplete Kontrol S88 controller, and I do mostly piano-based singer/songwriter and hybrid cinematic composition stuff. I intend to run Live and Cubase, using mostly virtual instruments through Kontakt plus recording vocals and the occasional acoustic instrument. It also has Audio Stream Input/Output (ASIO) support for reduced. probably best to report and let a mod move it. It comes with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 116dB and can output audio at 24-bit/192kHz, allowing you to enjoy high-resolution music in all its glory. I have the following motherboard currently: Gigabyte Intel LGA 20113 X99 4way SLI/CrossFireX ATX Motherboards. I'd appreciate if you could take a look at let me know if there are any glaring issues with this setup, or if there are any changes you'd recommend but still staying within my budget of under 1500 EUR. Offering many features at a reasonable price, Creative's Sound Blaster Z is easily among the best PC sound cards you can buy. I've done my best to research appropriate components for my needs and budget, but as I'm neither advanced in building computers nor music production, I thought it would be smart to run in by you all. Yes, you need a solid motherboard for your music production. I'm building a new computer to upgrade my home recording setup as a hobby musician. I think you put way too much thought into this. Hey everyone! I hope this is the right thread for this.
